Everything you need to know about Vía Panama Norte

Panama Norte is the only area available for the planned development of the city. Centre of innovative urban models, where sustainability and the environment are protected by law.

The Via Panama Norte connects the residents of North Panama with the Corredor Norte and at the same time generates a relief route for the Transístmica and Avenida Domingo Díaz. In 2016 the order to proceed for the construction of this project was signed under three innovative premises for Panama:

  • Complete streets

  • Smooth traffic

  • Urban mobility

Complete streets:

This roadway was designed with pedestrians and cyclists, public transport and freight movement in mind. Nine kilometres long and more than 80 metres wide, this road has two lanes on each side with a hard shoulder, central islands, bus bays and two-metre wide pavements.

Smooth traffic:

Via Panama Norte will not be interrupted by any intersection. To access from the Golf Club, a bridge was built that will take you directly to Porta Norte. From the Transistmica you will have two horseshoe bridges that will allow you to enter and exit this road without interruptions. From the inside, there are eight WB-20 turning radius turns (for articulated lorries and metrobuses).

Urban mobility:

Its imposing central islets were designed to accommodate the tracks of Metro Line 8 . Giving the residents of North Panama a direct connection to the Panama Metro's master network.

The road is intercepted by the Cinta Norteña (master plan for recreational, social and sports areas in Panama Norte), adding 3.5 kilometres of cycle paths to the eight kilometres of pavements within the road.

The sum of all these elements makes the Via Panama Norte an example of the "...".new road with a social focus”. Thousands of cars, families and people pass daily through the Via Panama Norte: All residents of North Panama who work in the South and East of the capital; The trucks that move cargo from the air logistics centres, such as Tocumen airport, and land, such as Parque Sur, to the Colon Free Zone and other points of the Atlantic; Visitors to the tourist areas in the north of the city. To mention a few.

Residents, visitors and developers of PHASE 1 of Porta Norte will have immediate access to this road. Especially those building in Contractors Hills, Porta Norte's first lot from the Golf Club.

We still have lots available for developers who want to build houses, flats and commercial plazas in front of this important road, the backbone for the development of the north of Panama City and gateway to Porta Norte.
